1. Applicability and Scope
§1.1This Prohibited Goods List (the “Annexure”) shall apply to all goods bookings initiated through Eto Rides (“Provider”, “Platform”), including “Goods Only” and “Goods + Person” bookings, whether booked via app, web, or other authorized channels.
1.2The User/Consignor shall be solely responsible for the legality, classification, packaging, labeling, and accurate declaration of goods. The Provider shall not verify the contents of a package and shall act as a platform intermediary, except to the extent required by applicable law.
1.3This Annexure shall be read together with the Goods Policy and the Terms of Service. In case of conflict, the stricter safety/compliance requirement shall prevail to the maximum extent permitted by law.
1.4The Provider may update this Annexure to reflect operational, safety, or legal changes. Continued use of goods booking features after publication shall constitute acceptance of the updated Annexure.
Effective Date: 07/02/2026 (as published in the finalized annexure/policy document)

3.2Any costs, penalties, seizures, or liabilities arising from prohibited goods shall be borne solely by the User/Consignor, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
4. Conditional / Declaration Required Goods
§4.1Conditional Goods may be carried only if the User/Consignor discloses the nature of goods (including fragility, value, liquids, temperature control, and dimensions/weight) prior to pickup and packages them safely.
4.2The Captain may refuse or cancel transport of Conditional Goods if, in the Captain’s reasonable judgment, the goods present safety, compliance, or capacity risk, or if disclosure appears inaccurate or incomplete.
A. Fragile items (e.g., glass, electronics) — must be packed to prevent damage and declared as fragile.
B. High-value goods (e.g., jewelry, cash equivalents) — may require additional verification and may be refused.
C. Liquids — only if sealed, non-hazardous, and safely packed to prevent leakage.
D. Food requiring temperature control — only where safe handling is feasible; otherwise may be refused.
E. Oversized or overweight items beyond vehicle safe capacity — must be split/booked using multiple vehicles or alternate arrangements.
This list is illustrative; captains may refuse any item that appears unsafe, unlawful, or beyond safe carrying capacity.
5. User Warranty and Declarations
§5.1By placing a goods booking, the User/Consignor warrants and represents to Eto Rides that the goods are lawful, do not include Strictly Prohibited Goods, and are suitable for local transport by the selected vehicle type.
5.2The User/Consignor shall ensure secure packaging to prevent leakage, breakage, spillage, odor, contamination, or hazard during transport.
5.3The User/Consignor shall provide accurate information (including item description, weight, approximate value where required, and any special handling instructions) and shall remain responsible for any inaccuracy or omission.
Operational requirements (may be enforced)
- Pickup/Drop photo capture may be required for dispute review and safety assurance.
- Additional verification may be required for conditional/high-value items.
- Bookings may be cancelled or accounts restricted for breach of this Annexure.
6. Captain Rights and Refusal
§6.1The Captain shall have the right to refuse pickup or cancel a booking where goods appear unsafe, suspicious, unlawful, or inconsistent with the declared description.
6.2The Captain may refuse transport where the User/Consignor declines mandatory photo capture or other reasonable verification required for safety/compliance.
6.3The Captain may refuse transport where the package is leaking, damaged, poorly packaged, emits strong odor, or may reasonably cause contamination or hazard.
6.4The Captain may refuse transport where the load is excessive, unstable, or beyond the safe capacity of the vehicle.
7. Liability, Dispute Review, and Governing Terms
§7.1The User/Consignor shall remain solely responsible for the goods’ contents, legality, and packaging. Eto Rides shall not be liable for loss or damage to goods except to the extent required by applicable law and the governing terms.
7.2Dispute review may rely on trip logs, timestamps, geo-location signals, and photo-capture records (where enabled/required) to assess pickup/drop completion and handling.
7.3Where prohibited goods are involved, the Provider may cancel the booking without liability and may cooperate with competent authorities where legally required.
7.4Refunds, if any, shall be governed by the Refund Policy and applicable law.
